DNV-GL In-Water Class Survey Crude Oil Tanker 'SOLA TS'

Caldive completed a DNV-GL class in-water survey using our support vessel 'Woodstock I', an inspection dive team and ROV whilst the 250m Crude Oil Tanker 'SOLA TS' was at anchor in the Moray Firth.  'SOLA TS' called into the Firth especially for the work to be carried out before her class certification expired.

Due to the size restrictions imposed on larger tankers it is not always possible to find a sheltered harbour to carry out diving operations.  The Moray Firth is a unique location offering relatively sheltered waters.  Caldive have carried out a number of class in-water surveys on vessels and rigs whilst at anchorage here.

Our ability to mobilise highly experienced personnel at short notice, allows clients to stop off en route without incurring expensive delays.

In addition to surveys, Caldive have carried out propeller polishing, seachest cleaning and retrieval of lost items.  Similar work scopes have been carried out in the Forth, the Clyde and other ports accross the UK and abroad.
